Coming up with an image, generating movement in it, aligning it with sounds, conveying your ideas … are arguably some of the premises of motion graphics.
BassAwards wanted the image of the trophy, which will only be awarded to golds in each category, to be directly related to our profession, primarily representing the idea of moving images. The perfect people to do this were Ochoa and DíazLlanos leaders in quality industrial design, who are a multi-awarded company worldwide.
The core of this desire is this fantastic award that came from thinking in the traditional animation of a three-dimensional object, using the origins of animation as the basis of new digital tools, the idea of a drawing on transparent acetates that were assembled in layers, which are in fact the birth of current digital layers.
The awards logo, separated in two layers, includes a circle in one of them, and a letter in the other. This leads to the perception that they are a two-in-one icon. One that is complete, just like us.
It is from here, in order not to stand too far from the traditional core of animation where you would quickly flick through notebook pages creating the illusion of movement, that these folds arise. Looking down at the trophy, it emulates this movement of flicking through pages.
A trophy designed specifically for those who understand motion graphics, its origins and development, who know about quality design show casing. A trophy that is a hallmark for the best designers in the world.
